Plein Air Painting Workshop

This one-day, in-person workshop will be geared towards plein air for beginners and taught by experienced instructors and expert artists Victoria Brzustowicz and Colette Savage. The workshop will be rain or shine at Mendon Ponds Park at the Devils Bathtub Shelter.. The workshop will include the use of soft pastels applications in plein air, proper equipment, supplies, personal needs, and dealing with the weather while painting in plein air. If you prefer another medium, you are welcome to participate using your preferred medium. Be ready to enjoy a fun day of learning, growing and gaining confidence in this truly beautiful method of painting outdoors!

A supply list will be emailed to participants approximately one month prior to the event; the instructors will offer some materials for a minimal additional fee — further information will be provided when supply list is distributed.

There will be an hour break for lunch; however, lunch is not provided. It is recommended that a packed lunch is brought with you to the workshop. Coffee will be provided in the morning.

Maximum number of students for this workshop is 15.

Please note: workshop tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE, no exceptions, but you can transfer your ticket to another active PSWNY member. All fund transfers to be handled by the ticket holder and transferee. You must notify the workshop coordinator Alexandra Newman (alexandra.newman13@gmail.com) ASAP if transferring your ticket.

If the workshop has to be canceled due to low participation (fewer than 8 attendees ) or due to an unforeseen circumstance, PSWNY will fully reimburse participants at that time.

NOTE: The non-member price for this workshop includes membership in the PSWNY for 2026.
