We are planning on having a panel discussion on framing pastel paintings and are looking for members to volunteer their knowledge.
If you have knowledge in any of the following areas that you would be willing to present in front of the group (5-15 min), please respond to Alexandra.newman13@gmail.com by April 1st with the topic you would like to present (see the list below). If there are multiple topics, please note your top preference to present.
On the day of the event, you will need to bring any materials you need to demonstrate the skill you are presenting.
Topics:
Passé-Partout (pastel framed directly against glass)
Wiring and Hardware (proper location of hardware and wire, what to use, how to mount to frame, etc.)
Cutting Mats (what tools, why do it yourself, etc.)
Using Spacers
Frame Selection (how to choose, where to buy, etc.)
Assembly (cleaning glass, labeling, etc.)
Choosing Mat Color
